In this episode of the BNB Hurts Podcast, we’re talking about the Anjunafamily—the passionate community that grew out of the Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep labels. While these labels are influenced by trance, their sound leans more into what's known as progressive.

But what is progressive, really? That’s one of the things we’ll be diving into today—because who doesn’t love a good sub genre discussion?

Joining us today are two key figures in the Anjuna and progressive scene: DJ Alchemist and Sheva

DJ Alchemist and Sheva both draw inspiration in their sound from the progressive scene. 

Within our community DJ Alchemist is also the admin of Anjuna Family Toronto and Sheva has the honour of playing the big Anjuna 25 milestone at Escapade! 

We explore their musical journeys, diving into what defines progressive, discussing the AnjunaFamily and other big progressive labels, shining a light on our local scene, and talking about the future of progressive music—here and around the world.
